with rain comes relief!

picture this...
a very drizzly block party, but it didn't dampen
the spirit of the night! Capt'n Kip & his crew
arrived on schedule with the fire truck!
A kid favorite every year!

well, a soggy day...much needed and with that came
relief from the heat. the humidity was crazy all day!
i prepped for our "national night out" block party
between hair clients. (thanks for everything suzie!!)
worked on the "gorra" wedding some more.
i uploaded their images last night....took quite awhile.
there were over 500 images, and at a minute a piece,
about 8 hours to complete. good to do overnight.
but with the storms that we've had the last couple
of nights, i didn't' really want to risk a power outage!

we had a great time at our block party. two fire trucks
showed up at the same time. the police arrived pretty early.
we collected a TON of food for the local food shelves,
(P.R.O.P..."people reaching to other people")
kids had a great time. so did the "big kids".

thursday i'm shooting dani's twin sister, carly's senior portraits.
dani is going to join us at the end of her session for some
"sister" shots. their younger brother, chris was going to join us
but he just took a baseball in the eye at a tournament over
the weekend and has quite the "shiner"!
alison tells me that he is recoveing well.

i arranged to attend a "PUG" meeting in minnetonka on
the 8th of august....."pictage users group". i'm interested
to talk to people and find out the ins and outs of pictage.

today is my 2nd meeting with my network group. they are
having a picnic instead of the traditional meeting at flagship.

some good friends of mine in playa del carmen, mexico
just sent me a link to their blog...
(i'm tellin' ya, the word is out about blogging!).
she and her husband own a restaurant there and she also
operates a very successful event planning service...largely weddings,
of which i have been apart of many! (thank you brenda!)
i encourage you to go to their site as well.
