the windy city?

holy hanna the wind was incredible last night!
it still is but last night was CRAZY~i could
hardly sleep! howling winds, stuff blowing around,
garbage cans put out last night for today's
pick up had a rough go of it! crap everywhere
this morning...nuts i tell ya.

well yesterday heather called and informed me
that the couple coming over for their pregnancy
shoot were coming earlier so i headed for
woodbury around 11. nice drive on a sunday.
this couple is from wisconsin and she is a
photographer as well. heather had done a session
for a friend of theirs so she called to request
her help in their unique situation.

i was introduced to the couple and i assisted
in the shoot. such a beautiful couple.
such a beautiful time in your life. such a
tragedy that that this little one will not make
it and everyone knows.

i'll be on call the month of november to assist
when the call comes in. if she goes into labor
prior to her inducing date.
we are all set and i was so happy to help.

i headed for my brother's for j's family b-day
party. the typical fare..pumpkin/leek soup &
baked potatoes with all the fixins! yum. a
perfect fall day feast. it's a tradition in england
for guy fawkes day (which is today, btw).

here's some shots from the festivities...

j wearing the "hat of shame"

cake. needs no introduction!

our little fashionista!

my sister started a tradition of buy the nieces
a nice purse for their 16th birthdays....

i'll be getting together with her later in the
week to do our tradition of hair and a photo shoot!

that's all for now....
