meet the "row" family

picture this...

here are the row's...
glenn, nancy and the kids
derrick & brianna.
they won a portrait session with me
at this year's MiracleKids Triathlon.
hard to get excited about donning
warm, cozy duds when it's nearly 90
degrees out...sorry glenn!

the arboretum was alive with people
yesterday! when i drove in and saw
2 lines of cars~i freaked a little.
then as i got inside the gate area
and drove around i noticed that there
was nowhere to park, sit, stand, walk,
drive...i mean the place was CRAWLING
with people.
there was a 2-day fall gathering-something
or other-going on and of course it was
the most spectacular day as well so,
i called the row family to warn them and
also to inform them NOT get in the long line
of cars-they are able to just drive in on my
photographer's pass and not wait in line
to pay...a nice perk, really. eSPEcially that day!
I mean, seriously, i nearly cancelled our shoot
due to all the people. we would be limited
as to where we could plop down...there
proved to be people everywhere we went.
i had to get pretty creative with spots to shoot.
knowing the grounds at the arboretum
helped a lot too!

here's a few more....

oh, did i mention the japanese beetles,
the box elder bug and bees?? nasty!
price you pay for a nice, warm day, right!?
well, even nicer today. poor me.. i have to
go shoot a golf benefit today!
80 something and sunny. DARN the luck!

tomorrow morning i will be meeting with
the carlston group (local realtors) and
shooting their group and individual shots
as well for all their upcoming print media
and web site....i get to meet rich gannon.
i'll try not to talk trash about his old
team....it's really not the same anyway! :)
i should bone up on some of his stats!!
