Beth + Tim

Hey there...another wedding come and gone.
I told Tim, "thanks for breaking my rain streak!"

This was a perfect wedding day. Could not have asked
God for anymore on this day. Everything went as smooth
as silk throughout and before we knew it, it was over.

Thank you Beth & Tim for allowing me this wonderful
opportunity to come along side you and photograph your
wedding for you. By the time I left, I felt like family!

Here's some teasers for you.
Be sure to click on "view images" then in the upper
right hand side click on "full screen".
Congratulations, enjoy.

Jenny + Andy

Jenny, Andy and I got together a couple of Sunday's
ago in St. Paul to photograph their Engagement Session.
And even tho' this link takes you to their entire shoot,
I thought I'd toss a few images up on the blog too.

For a larger view, please click "view all images" then

Renee & Shane.

Originally there was rain forecast for Renee &
Shane's wedding day but it held off until early
the following day. Prayer works!

This unique day started with the fact that they
had chosen the Chapel at Ft. Snelling in St. Paul
for the ceremony, they selected Ft. Snelling State
Park and Rice Park for their formals and finished
up at the very lovely St. Paul Hotel.

A group of only about 80 but enough faith, hope
& love to fill the new Twins stadium and enough
celebration to last a lifetime ;)

Congratulations Renee & Shane!

A sneak peak...

Alicia & Matt.

What a day this was!
Alicia padded the day with TONS of time
for me to capture all sorts of fun at several
spots...it's not common to have that luxury.

Congratulations Alicia and Matt!
I thank you for allowing me the privilege to
come along side you for the day.

(Oh, and p.s. slide.com is working on making
the images larger, I'm told, so I apologize
for the postage stamp sized images.)

Catch Up.

Between Easter, 3 weddings, 4 NILMDTS sessions,
taxes and a sick Boo, I've been a bit lax in the
blog department. I just needed to "catch up".
But do we really ever catch up? The faith that I
can keeps me going, anyway. :)

That said, on to a few weddings...first, JoAnn
and Rick from March 28th. A chilly day but the
sun was out and the venue (Murphy's Landing) was
the perfect backdrop for their period wedding.

Owen's Birthday in Review.

Well, altho' Owen's birthday has passed, when you
not only OWN a camera, but remember to always bring
it along, you can save the memories forever.

Here's some of the moments of the day...enjoy.

Remember...NEVER forget your camera, NEVER
forget to have extra (or charged) batteries
and for God's sake, READ YOUR MANUALS!
Or at least bring it along.

Moving on.

I wanted to leave Katie up for awhile as a
sort of memorial so I thank you for all your
concerns and well wishes. Gary and I are just
fine. Didn't realize that by not blogging I
would arouse such concern. Thank you, again.

Losing Katie was such a shock but I know that
she is with Hobie and that they are happy,
healthy and doing all those crazy brother-
sister things that they always did here.

Last night I joined my sister's family in
Eden Prairie to celebrate Amanda's REAL
birthday (10/22)...here are some shots from
that....

Last weekend I got together with a good friend,
whom I hadn't seen in a while, to photograph
her daughter, Kathryn. Here's a slide show...

Gary's off on his first of many pheasant hunting
trips and I'm left to teach Boo that AA batteries
are not toys and foam pumpkins are not treats! ;)

Later today I will venture over to the Sofitel to
meet and listen to Rudy Giuliani and Norm Coleman
speak. I've been gonna hit many other stops of
Norm's but it just hasn't happened. Today's the day.

Have a great day...I'll see you all tomorrow.

Mr. & Mrs. Murphy.

This past Saturday Sadie & Derek became Mr.
& Mrs. Murphy! Here's some of my faves from
the day. Loved the Cinema Ballroom on St. Clair
in St. Paul for a reception venue!!

Handsome groom. Fabulous venues! All the planets
aligned for me again. Not to mention my 2nd shooter,
Jen Malone...Here's some faves to start with.
Enjoy!

I'm back.

I talked to my mother last night and she confessed to me
that she was checking in 2, 3 sometimes even 4 times a day
wondering if I'd blogged....nope. Sorry mom.
Well, the wait is over and even tho' this is the time of year
where schedules can spiral out of control and a photographer's
work load can seem endless, I will, nevertheless, blog.

My husband, Gary, just mentioned the other day that "I'm sure
people don't get up at 7:30 every morning and go straight to
your blog." And to that I say..."yes they do!"

This just in....Gary is not into computers.
Unless he is planning a t-time, a flight or reading some crude
e-mail from one of his buddies, he has no interest in them
AND he can't understand how I can sit in front of one all day.
Well, A.) IT'S MY JOB! and B.) I actually enjoy communicating
with people. So there, I said it! I LIKE PEOPLE!
Oh, and don't even get me started on mobile blogging or twitter.

All of this does not mean that we don't get along or anything.
I just don't feel that anyone should have to sacrifice doing
what they love to do....I mean, as long as it is not in anyway
jeopardizing the health of the relationship.

WOW! Sorry for the soapbox rant. Guess I needed to feel some
clarity on this one.

Okay, so I've been busy and I've promised many people, many things.
So, I'll get to that right now! Dear Molly & Andrew, thank you
for your patience with me! I now bring you Mr. & Mrs. Winter...

And for Nikki & Zees...Congratulations to you as well!

Carlos & Kristin...you're next.
Have a great day!

Paige.

A good friend of mine called a few months
ago and asked if I would be interested in
photographing their daughter for her senior
portraits. I, of course, said "absolutely!"

Thank you so much for allowing me this wonderful
opportunity and thanks, Bambi, for coming along
and acting as my assistant!

Here's Paige...I can't believe she'll be 18
this December. She is just beautiful.

Lake Nokomis MKT 2008!

Another successful event for the
Miracles of Mitch Foundation!
The rain held off until much later
in the day and I couldn't have been
more proud of this organization for
banding together a TON of volunteers
(Thanks to Cargill!) so that every last
detail was perfect!

This was just the 2nd year for the Nokomis
location and already it had doubled in entrants!
Pretty amazing considering that this is a
fundraising event!

Thanks to Tony Schiller for tirelessly
molding a wonderfully successful event!

The Chanhassen event is on Saturday
August 16th! See ya there!
